A promotion for DH

So my dh got his promotion he was hoping for along with a pay raise and chances for bonuses. So a couple of changes to his budget.

A bonuses will go to the downpayment fund

$1000 per month to the downpayment fund

$250 to his allowance and any expenses that crop up (so the majority of this to the downpayment fund as well).

All in all, this will definitely make our goal of getting a house next February more achievable.

    The credit cards are mine not his, he already paid all his credit cards off. My credit cards should be paid off in a year and a half. He gets to help pick up the miscellaneous expenses so I can just work on mine. As much as I want to be debt free, paying the credit card first would result in us having to rent another year ( or pay a premium of $400 addition to rent for the month to month privilege). We made the choice that having a house is more important since we have gone through 8 landlords in 4 places in 6 years. *Shudder*

    As it is, I suspect our current management will want to drastically raise rent when our contract comes do, they have raised it about $200 per month on people we know and rental unit demand in our area is only going up thanks to foreclosures...
